Why Did They Destroy Gaza?
– Gaza and Israel's Greater Obsession
The project of Greater Israel, known in extremist circles as Eretz Yisrael HaShlema, is not a marginal idea but the core of an ideology that has turned into state policy. It is supported by interpretations of biblical texts and Talmudic commentaries that demean the other, implemented today through soft tools: normalization, economy, intelligence, the Abraham Accords, and direct annihilation when necessary.
Gaza, with its spiritual and demographic steadfastness, stands as a rock obstructing the flow of this project. It is the land that Joshua son of Nun failed to subdue, the spot that refuses integration or disappearance, and thus must be erased to complete the vision.
Let us begin with the texts that turned into a sword
In the Book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 20, Verses 16-18:
"But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee: That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God."
This text is not merely historical but has become a reference for justifying total annihilation, interpreted today as viewing Palestinians as heirs of the "Canaanites," who must be removed lest they "defile" the holy land.
In the First Book of Samuel, Chapter 15, Verses 2-3:
"Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass."
Killing infants, women, and children is not a slip but a divine command in the extremist interpretation.
It is repeated in the Book of Joshua, Chapter 6, Verse 21:
"And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword."
These texts, in their literal extremist reading, have turned into a political doctrine, where the Palestinian becomes the "Amalek" of the era, and annihilation is not a crime but a religious duty to purify the land.
As for the Talmud, it adds a layer of existential contempt for anyone non-Jewish.
Tractate Yebamot 61a:
This passage discusses ritual purity and does not state that non-Jews ("goyim") are not human; such claims are misrepresentations often taken out of context from discussions on idolatry or legal status in ancient times.
Baba Kamma 113a:
This discusses legal procedures in disputes, including deceiving oppressive tax collectors or in courts favoring one side; it does not broadly permit lying or theft from non-Jews.
These interpretations make the other not a full human but a being that can be exploited or removed, explaining the lack of mercy in bombing hospitals, schools, and residential areas.
In Deuteronomy, Chapter 23, Verse 20: "Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury."
This text was historically used to justify usury with outsiders, leading to economic dominance, and the expulsion of Jews from dozens of countries not for their religion but for elite economic practices under religious cover.
In the Book of Joshua, Chapter 13, Verses 2-3:
"This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri, From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites."
This "remaining land" is not a mere promise awaiting fulfillment but an implicit admission of inability to fully control, as Gaza remains a symbol of unending resistance.
In the Book of Judges, Chapter 1, Verse 19: "And the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron."
This text reflects historical failure, not complete victory, where Gaza, as a coastal city, embodies the permanent challenge to any subjugation attempt.
This doctrine turned into a political project with Zionism, which is not mere colonialism but an extension of the idea of "purifying the land" from its original inhabitants.
Gaza here is not just military resistance but a moral scandal: every child emerging from rubble, every mother screaming over her infant, asks the world how humanity reached this cruelty?
The answer lies in texts that gave the green light to killing without guilt.
But the project evolved to a soft phase after the failure of direct occupation.
The Abraham Accords (2020)
They were not peace but the beginning of a security and intelligence network turning Israel into the "central mind" of the Middle East.
Direct intelligence exchange, training Arab officers in Israel, using programs like Pegasus and satellites monitoring movements, smart cities collecting psychological and behavioral data—all making Israel not a neighbor but part of the basic security and economic infrastructure.
The goal: shifting the security center from Washington to Tel Aviv, redrawing the region around the "complete Land of Israel" from the Nile to the Euphrates, not only by arms but by gas, ports, the Abrahamic corridor (India-Gulf-Israel-Europe), and investments.
Gaza obstructs this project for multiple reasons:
- It is the land that remained "outside the promise" historically, the rebel Joshua could not subdue.
- It refuses "peace for money," no normalization or integration.
- It disrupts gas lines and Mediterranean ports.
- It fails the idea of "Abrahamic tolerance," saying: no religion without justice, no tolerance without resistance.
Thus, the events of October 7, 2023, were not a random surprise but a meticulously allowed ambush that the resistance fell into, becoming a pretext for total annihilation, paving the way for rebuilding Gaza under new control and liquidating resistance as the final obstacle to the economic corridor and soft expansion.
The destruction is not random but preparation for new land serving "Greater Israel" through economy and surveillance, not direct occupation.

Gaza – The Strongest Roots of the True Religion of Prophet Muhammad, Which They Sought to Uproot
In the depths of human history, Gaza stands as a symbol of moral steadfastness that transcends the boundaries of physical geography, becoming an educational system deeply rooted in the essence of humanity.
It is not merely a city besieged by walls and barbed wire, but an embodiment of a meaning that refuses superficial classification, penetrating the depths of religious and historical consciousness.
Here, the child begins his existential journey not by learning ordinary language alphabets, but by reciting:
﴿الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ * الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ * مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ * إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ * اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ * صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ﴾
(Surah Al-Fatihah: 2-7)
**English Translation:**
"All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds * The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful * Sovereign of the Day of Recompense * It is You we worship and You we ask for help * Guide us to the straight path * The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray."
As if his identity is built on the foundation of monotheism and servitude to the Creator, not on the foundations of material consumption or cultural dependency.
This educational system, which preserves the soul from defilement and moral decay, is what makes Gaza a target for systematic annihilation—not because of its military strength, but because of its ability to produce a human being carrying an inherited story, a story that challenges the logic of control and subjugation.
Gaza, in its deep historical context, has never been a city known for moral laxity or commodification of the body; rather, it is a guardian of deeply rooted religious values, where religion becomes a comprehensive system for existential meaning. Allah the Almighty says in His Noble Book:
﴿إِنَّ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَبِيرًا * وَأَنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا﴾
(Surah Al-Isra: 9-10)
**English Translation:**
"Indeed, this Qur'an guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward * And that those who do not believe in the Hereafter – We have prepared for them a painful punishment."
This "most suitable" is not merely an abstract moral guidance, but a construction of daily life, descending into the details of family and social upbringing, where the child memorizes Surah Al-Fatihah before mastering the pronunciation of his own name.
When Gaza was conquered in the year 15 AH, armies did not enter it merely as conquerors imposing material authority, but the Qur'an entered it as a comprehensive existential methodology, reshaping the human being from within.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ"
(Narrated by Al-Bukhari in his Sahih, Book of the Virtues of the Qur'an, Chapter: The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it.)
Gaza took this hadith as a practical methodology, becoming a city of jurisprudence and spiritual vigilance, not a city of luxury or worldly dominion.
From its womb was born Imam Muhammad ibn Idris Al-Shafi'i in the year 150 AH, as mentioned in "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala" by Al-Dhahabi and "Tahdhib al-Tahdhib" by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani. He was not a passing jurist but the founder of the principles of jurisprudence, who rejects distortion of texts or their commodification, saying: "If the hadith is authentic, it is my madhhab."
A city that produces such a mind does not produce a people emptied of existential meaning, but produces a human being carrying a deeply rooted memory—a memory that refuses integration into the system of consumption and dependency.
Allah the Almighty said:
﴿قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ * لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ﴾
(Surah Al-An'am: 162-163)
**English Translation:**
"Say, 'Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds * No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims.'"
This verse is not theoretical memorization but daily living, preserving the soul from defilement and making religion an internal guardian against moral collapse.
If Gaza is the city of deeply rooted spiritual upbringing, then the annihilation it faces is not a traditional war seeking to break military capability or impose political conditions, but an attempt to end human possibility itself—where the target becomes the child who may carry future consciousness, the mother who gives birth to inherited memory, and the school that passes on religious meaning.
Gaza Exposed the Hypocrisy of International Law**
In international law, as in the four Geneva Conventions (1949) and UN General Assembly resolutions such as Resolution 2625 (1970) affirming the inadmissibility of acquiring territory by force, the occupying power has no right of self-defense against the population under its occupation.
Nevertheless, Western media discourse re-engineered concepts: occupation becomes a "legitimate state," the victim an "potential threat," and the civilian a "human shield"—in a moral rephrasing that justifies organized killing.
Why is the civilian in Gaza considered an existential danger?
Because it produces an inherited identity, not mere humanity—where the child is raised on historical and religious narrative, on the idea that the land is not mere soil but a sacred name, and religion is not a cultural choice but a collective truth.
In the logic of control, whoever carries a creed carries a deferred danger; thus, the child is targeted as a consciousness project, and the family as a unit of inheritance.
This demographic annihilation is not emotional but cold science, as Gaza is counted among the highest regions in fertility and population continuity, making it a danger that cannot be contained by emigration or integration; thus, population reduction becomes an unannounced goal, explaining the destruction of neighborhoods, health infrastructure, and killing entire families at once.
From Collective Punishment to Deep Psychological Breaking
In traditional wars, armies are targeted; in Gaza, the capacity for individual grief is targeted—when an entire family is erased, no one remains to narrate, demand, or remember.
This policy, historically known as "maximum collective shock," was used by colonial powers to break peoples, as in European colonial experiments in Africa and America. But Gaza did not break; rather, it intensified its meaning.
The Abraham Accords (2020) formed the context that allowed this annihilation, removing Palestine from the center of the conflict, classifying it as a "local" problem, and redefining Israel as a "stability partner" in a deal without international conscience, where annihilation becomes a logical outcome of an economic and political bargain.
In religious Zionist thought, the land is not politics but fulfillment of a divine promise, and Gaza is outside this promise—it cannot be Judaized or integrated; thus, the solution is removal.
Yet annihilation has failed so far because it assumes humans surrender when stripped of everything, while Gaza contradicted this: hunger did not produce submission, loss did not produce forgetting, and death did not produce blind hatred but deeper meaning.
Every martyr intensifies the story, turning Gaza into an archive of blood—where every street bears names, and every grave an existential question.
Gaza exposed the duality of international law and the falsehood of political morality, declaring through its existence that power does not create right, and weapons do not erase meaning.
It was not annihilated merely for its resistance, but for educating the human before he becomes a fighter, and meaning before it becomes a slogan.
Gaza is a witness to the era—a city that refuses to redefine itself—in a conflict between a world that wants a human without memory and a city that insists the human is a story before being a number.
And it, until now, continues to narrate.

Gaza on the Map of Prophecy and Divine Promise – From Abandonment to Inevitable Victory
Gaza is not merely a city annihilated by missiles and bombs; it is a stage of divine selection, chosen by Allah to be the title of martyrdom in the end times and a school of patience teaching the Ummah lessons in steadfastness and meaning.
What is happening in it today is not a historical coincidence but fulfillment of prophetic texts and Qur'anic verses illuminating the path for the patient and bearing tidings of a divine promise that never fails—a promise stating that injustice, however long, will end, and victory is for the believers even if tribulation prolongs.
Before Palestine was partitioned in 1948, Gaza was considered part of greater Ashkelon geographically and spiritually, giving deep weight to the prophetic hadiths mentioning Ashkelon, as they apply to Gaza realistically and spiritually.
Narrated by Al-Tabarani in Al-Mu'jam Al-Kabir, Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadrak, and Al-Daraqutni, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"عَسْقَلَانُ أَحَدُ الْعَرُوسَيْنِ، يُبْعَثُ مِنْهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا لَا حِسَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا عَذَابَ، وَيُبْعَثُ مِنْهَا خَمْسُونَ أَلْفَ شَهِيدٍ وَفْدًا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى، وَبِهَا صُفُوفُ الشُّهَدَاءِ رُؤُوسُهُمْ مَقْطُوعَةٌ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ تَثْجُّ أَوْدَاجُهُمْ دَمًا، فَيَقُولُونَ: رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: صَدَقَ عِبَادِي، اغْسِلُوهُمْ بِنَهْرِ الْبَيْضِ، فَيَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهُ أَنْقَى مِنَ الثَّلْجِ وَأَبْيَضَ مِنَ اللَّبَنِ، فَيَسْرَحُونَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ شَاءُوا".
**English Translation (approximate):**
"Ashkelon is one of the two brides; on the Day of Resurrection, 70,000 will be raised from it with no reckoning or punishment, and 50,000 martyrs as a delegation to Allah Almighty. In it are rows of martyrs holding their severed heads in their hands, blood gushing from their necks, saying: 'Our Lord, give us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise.' Allah Mighty and Majestic will say: 'My servants have spoken the truth. Wash them in the River of Whiteness.' They will emerge purer than snow and whiter than milk, then roam in Paradise wherever they wish."
Though some scholars weakened its chain, the realization of its meaning today establishes the proof: the sons of Gaza whose bodies are scattered under rubble, heads and limbs severed—they are this delegation to Allah, no reckoning or punishment, washed in the River of Whiteness and roaming in Paradise.
Al-Daraqutni also narrated:
"مَقْبَرَةٌ بِأَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ يُقَالُ لَهَا عَسْقَلَانُ، يَفْتَتِحُهَا نَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي، يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ مِنْهَا سَبْعِينَ أَلْفَ شَهِيدٍ يَشْفَعُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ فِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا، وَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ عَرُوسٌ، وَعَرُوسُ الْجَنَّةِ عَسْقَلَانُ".
**English Translation (approximate):**
"A graveyard in enemy land called Ashkelon—people from my Ummah will conquer it. Allah will raise from it 70,000 martyrs; each man among them will intercede for 70,000, and each has a bride, and the bride of Paradise is Ashkelon."
Unmatched honor: a martyr from Gaza interceding for an entire nation, like Rabi'ah and Mudar.
They are not merely victims to weep over but intercessors on the Day of Judgment—the bride of Paradise as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named it.
He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "خَيْرُ الرِّبَاطِ رِبَاطُ عَسْقَلَانَ"
(The best ribat is the ribat of Ashkelon.)
And narrated by Sa'id ibn Mansur from 'Awf ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): He said, "Advise me, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Stick to the mountain of wine." He said, "What is the mountain of wine?" He said, "The land of gathering and dispersion."
Gaza lies on the outskirts of the land of gathering, where resurrection and dispersion begin—it is the land of final selection, the field of great ribat where reward is multiplied and ranks elevated.
What we witness today fulfills Allah's words in Surah Al-Isra, Verses 4-8:
﴿وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَىٰ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا * فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ أُولَاهُمَا بَعَثْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادًا لَنَا أُولِي بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ فَجَاسُوا خِلَالَ الدِّيَارِ وَكَانَ وَعْدًا مَفْعُولًا * ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَا لَكُمُ الْكَرَّةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَمْدَدْنَاكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ أَكْثَرَ نَفِيرًا * إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الْآخِرَةِ لِيَسُوءُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا مَا عَلَوْا تَتْبِيرًا * عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يَرْحَمَكُمْ وَإِنْ عُدتُّمْ عُدْنَا وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ حَصِيرًا﴾
**English Translation:**
"And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture that, 'You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice, and you will surely reach [a degree of] great haughtiness.' So when the promise came for the first of them, We sent against you servants of Ours – those of great military might, and they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled. Then We gave back to you a return victory over them. And We reinforced you with wealth and sons and made you more numerous in manpower. If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves. Then when the final promise came, [We sent your enemies] to sadden your faces and to enter the masjid [i.e., the temple in Jerusalem], as they entered it the first time, and to destroy what they had taken over with [total] destruction. [Then Allah said], 'It is expected that your Lord will have mercy upon you. But if you return [to sin], We will return [to punishment]. And We have made Hell, for the disbelievers, a prison-bed.'"
Many contemporary exegetes see that we are in the phase of the second corruption and great haughtiness, where the Children of Israel gained control of the land with unprecedented military power and international support, displaying corruption unmatched by any before, backed by global powers representing "Heraclius of the era."
But this haughtiness is not eternal victory but the peak of tyranny preceding downfall—when injustice reaches its limit, the divine promise of total destruction and humiliation comes.
In end-times hadiths, victory is linked to two conditions: the appearance of two camps—sincere faith and bare hypocrisy—and great abandonment from the near before the far.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ، لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ وَلَا مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ، حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ". قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيْنَ هُمْ؟ قَالَ: "بِبَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ وَأَكْنَافِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ"
(Narrated by Ahmad and others)
**English Translation:**
"There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest upon the truth; those who abandon them or oppose them will not harm them until Allah's command comes while they are like that." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, where are they?" He said: "In Bayt al-Maqdis and the environs of Bayt al-Maqdis."
We have seen nations conspire, many brethren remain silent, and the Islamic world falter—but this abandonment is not defeat but a sign of nearing victory. There is no victory without sifting, no empowerment without testing.
Gaza today is that manifest group upon the truth—abandonment does not harm it; rather, it increases in spiritual strength with every tribulation.
O people of Gaza, you are the bride of Paradise as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) named you. You are the patient whose blood is washed in the River of Whiteness, whose souls roam in Paradise as they wish.
Do not think your sacrifices are in vain—you forge the scale of truth in the end times and intercede for the Ummah on the Day of Judgment. Your blood is a beacon lighting the Ummah's path, your patience a school teaching generations the meaning of steadfastness.
The final divine promise:
﴿وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾
(Surah Ar-Rum: 47)
**English Translation:**
"And incumbent upon Us was support of the believers."
Stand firm, O people of Gaza, and strengthen our hearts with you. You are the icon of light in an age of darkness, the title of purity in an age of defilement.
Victory is not a wish but a divine promise never broken. Gaza is not the end of the story but the beginning of the chapter of victory, written with the blood of martyrs and the patience of the steadfast.
Even if the night prolongs, dawn is inevitably coming.
